Welcome to the Bar!

Thank you for taking on a bar shift! Hop is a participatory venue, and we make the event possible together.

The Donation Principle

We finance Hop with donations at the bar. We collect money for rent, running costs, technology, legal fees in the rent dispute, and, of course, the purchase price of the drinks.

Everything at Hop is donation-based. There are no fixed donation recommendations. This is so that people can participate in our events regardless of their financial situation. Please explain this donation principle to people who order from you, especially if you get the impression that they are not yet familiar with it. Don't pressure anyone to pay more, but feel free to make it clear that this money is what keeps the shop running.

When it's quiet at the bar, you can put a donation jar with some change on the counter. If it gets busier or you have to leave the bar, it's better to keep the jar with you and take donations directly, giving change in the right amount.

The Drinks

You can serve all drinks behind the bar in exchange for a donation (bottles, mixed drinks, schnapps, tea, water). Water is free. Refill the refrigerator from the back, handle bottles hygienically, and rinse glasses well.

Serve drinks from the refrigerator during the event. It is best to refill the refrigerator from the back so that the cool bottles are at the front.
